Vista Tutorial - Help I can't get my mail to work

Hi I am not computer literate and I keep trying to use my windows mail but
can not seem to figure out how to set it up. What is an SMTP and all those
things they want you to fill in I need help can anyone help me please.

Never put a real email address in a newsgroup, you will get junk mail
because the address will get stolen, but you can put the last part after
the @sign, so you could mention the last part of your email address for
example @example.com

Have you used email before? If so, how?
Who is your email service provider? Or to ask that question another way,
what is the part of your email address after the @ symbol?
Your mail provider will typically have a web page that shows how to
set up an email program. If you need more help, tell us the name of
your email service provider.
