| | Re: Cannot send emails Charter says you are connecting through a network from Morristown Utilities. Charter does not allow you to use their SMTP server if your connection is from somewhere else. Unfortunately, most cable companies will not accommodate customers who need to send while away from home. Are you using a laptop? The available workarounds when sending away from home are as follows: 1. Use webmail for sending (via your browser). 2. If you use the same away-from-home connection frequently, substitute the SMTP server belonging to that connection. This is a bit tricky, but if you want to go that route, I can provide more details. 4. If you frequently send from multiple locations, get a free Gmail account, configure it for POP access, and use it for your sending chores. All the lights are blinking as if it works. Charter is not going to allow you to send through their SMTP server as long as you are connected to the Internet through a non-Charter connection.
