continuing the process

Gary,
It went as far as "Executing" and "Sending Message 1 of 1". But it never
got sent. I got timed out and clicked "Wait 60 Seconds".
Then I got the same two error messages as earlier:
Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for
this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of
inactivity. Subject 'Miguelito', Account: 'kountryking@xxxxxx', Server:
'imailhost.worldnet.att.net', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 465, Secure(SSL): Yes,
Error Number: 0x800CCC0F
Account: 'kountryking@xxxxxx', Server: 'ipostoffice.worldnet.att.net',
Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR authorization not enabled', Port:
995, Secure(SSL): Yes, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC18
The green "thermometer" races across the window and then the error messages
appear.
I tried a couple of more times. It wanted to send my reply to you via
Windows Mail and it wouldn't go. I deleted a couple of the messages I've
been trying to send since last month.
What else can I do? It seems like I'm almost there...but I'm not.

Re: continuing the process

You are getting both a send error and a receive error.
First, regarding that receive error, go to Tools, Accounts, select
that account, Properties, Servers. Make sure that "Log on using
Secure Password Authentication" is *not* checked.
Then check to see if receiving works.

The new send error you are getting is probably caused by interference
from a non-compatible antivirus program. Which antivirus are you running?
As a minimum, email scanning in the antivirus must be turned off,
although that may not be sufficient to eliminate all bad effects.
In a worst case scenario, your antivirus may need to be uninstalled.

If turning off the email scanning function does not resolve your send
problem, consider upgrading to Windows Live Mail, because it is less
prone to suffering bad effects from overly intrusive antivirus programs.

Email scanning in any antivirus must be disabled, for reasons
explained here:

Incidentally, I do not provide support via private email.
