| | Duplicate emails received I'm getting two of each email with Windows Mail. When I get my emails on my cell phone, I just get one, so I don't it's a Windows Mail problem, and not a server issue. I do not have duplicate accounts. Can't figure out what is going on. Any advice would be appreciated. |

| | Re: Duplicate emails received Try going to: Tools->Accounts->double click the account in question->Click on the Advanced tab->go down to 'Leave a copy of messages on server' If this is checked off it may be the cause. | | Re: Duplicate emails received I not only have duplicate emails, I also have the following EMAIL PROBLEMS: Situation: We have two computers (laptop and desk top) and two user accounts on each. ISP is Comcast; also use Windows Mail Problems are different for each account user and computer, which leads me to believe that email use is not compatible when there are either two computers and/or two accounts. EXAMPLES: Windows Mail: I get duplicate messages; my husband does not (on both computers) I have all my deleted messages; my husband only has a few that are listed. Comcast “Smartzone” (using Internet Explorer to access): (NOTE): We have had problems with this so-called “Smartzone” since it commenced.) Inbox says I have X number of messages; however when I go to open, the message is “No Results found.” However, I know I have messages because they are on my Windows Mail In Box. (This problem is intermittent.) Conversely, my husband who originally had the same problem, now gets his messages, but I don’t! I have to repeatedly re-enter my user name and password on the laptop, but not the desk top. (both computers are HP products) I have called my ISP Comcast and they said it was a server problem and could take up to 72 hrs to fix. It has now been 72 hours and the problems still exist and I have not received a phone call back to update me on the status as promised. Question: Is there anything that can be done, or should we just accept the conclusion that synchronizing two accounts on two computers is virtually impossible? WE ARE SO FRUSTRATED! P.S. To make matters more complex, I just tried logging into my Comcast Smartzone using Firefox and it automatically had my user name and password entered, so that makes me think there’s also a problem with Internet Explorer.
