Vista - delete message returns me to previous message in the inbox

This is infuriating behavior to me and I can't find an option to change it
like it is in Outlook. When using Windows Mail, when I have a message open,
then delete it, the previous message in my inbox opens. What I want is to
just go back to the inbox. I have mail from a bunch of web sites. First thing
I do is go through my personal mail, so when I read something and delete it I
want to return immediately to the inbox, not to automatically open another
message!!!!!!!

Close the mail before you delete it.

It works just like its predecessor, Outlook Express.

I do that now, but I was used to using Outlook, 2002 for mail, which has the
option to go back to the inbox when I delete the mail. In other words, in
Microsoft Mail and Outlook Express (which I never used) it takes two clicks
to do what I did with one click before.
