| | I seem to be able to receive emails but not send Hi, im trying to use the Windows Email for my Yahoo account Ive been told to use ingoing server as pop.yahoo.mail.com outgoing server as smtp.yahoo.mail.com I can receive my emails just fine, but i cant send any, what do i need to do? This is the error message i get: The message could not be sent. The authentication setting might not be correct for your outgoing e-mail [SMTP] server. For help solving this problem, go to Help, search for "Troubleshoot Windows Mail", and read the "I'm having problems sending e-mail" section. If you need help determining the proper server settings, please contact your e-mail service provider. The rejected e-mail address was @yahoo.com'. | | Re: I seem to be able to receive emails but not send Make sure you have send authentication enabled. Go to Tools, Accounts, select that account, Properties, Servers. | Vista Home Premium 32bit | Re: I seem to be able to receive emails but not send I have had a similar problem and did not receive any error messages. Emails would just sit in the outbox but I was able to receive incoming mail ok. I found that there was a problem with one of the emails in the outbox. I deleted it and all the rest were able to be sent ok. Hope this helps. |
