| | unable to send / recieve since setting up my new notebook I have been unable to access my email useing the notebook . the error message that I keep getting is this. Account: 'Mail.bigpond.com', Server: 'Mail.bigpond.com', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR a user name MUST be entered', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC91. I would appreciate some help from an expert in solving this problem. thanks Steve |

| | Re: unable to send / recieve Go to 'Tools|Accounts' click your email account, slick the "Properties" button and go to the "Servers" tab. Do you have entries in the "email username" and "password" boxes in the "Incoming Mail Server" section? The error message indicates no entries in these boxes. I have a pop3 account and incoming is pop.west.cox.net and the outgoing is smtp.west.cox.net ... I put in my username and password, but it won't let me send any mail .... I get the same exact error code as the other person. What can I do?
