can't connect to account

"The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'MSN', Server:
'pop3.email.msn.com', Protocol: POP3, Port: 995, Secure(SSL): Yes, Socket
Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E"

I've turned off email virus scanning, selected secure connection, and I
still get the above. I can, however, access and post to newsgroups. Go
figure.

Same problem here.
Solved after disabling Firewall, re-enabling it, change many parameters,
delete account, re-create it, and finaly, it works but I don't know why !
Good luck ...

PS: same pb with Gmail account, witch works now after same blind operations
