deleting vista mail

With all these problems with Vista Mail, can it be deleted from my computer?
Will I still be able to use my msn.com and yahoo.com addresses. I see no
need to remove a popular and effective anti-virus program just to let e-mails
through. And obviously more imformation about POP and SMTP needs to be added
so those who want to continue will be able to without spending hours of their
valuable time trying to figure it out on their own.

Re: deleting vista mail

You cannot remove Windows Mail since it is part of the Vista OS.

You will be happier with Windows Live Mail, so give it a try:

Incidentally, it doesn't take hours of time to follow the instructions on your
email provider's web site. Microsoft has no way of knowing who your
email provider is. There are tens of thousands of providers worldwide,
so including all the settings for those is just not feasible, especially so when
the settings get changed from time to time.

Re: deleting vista mail

Which "popular and effective anti-virus program" would that be? You can
hardly blame the email application if the AV app is blocking incoming mail.

Re: deleting vista mail

Windows Mail is provided by MS
Your AV is supplied by a third party, if that causes problems seek support
from your AV provider.
