    set associations

I have just created windows mail acct and when opening my e-mails i cannot
read or see some of the attachments. An error message comes up telling me
that i need to create an association in the set associations control panel.
I know you need to go thru control panel to default settings but after that
I am a bit lost. Has anyone solved this problem? Thanks very much.

    Hello,

What are the file extension types for the attachments that you are trying to open in Windows Mail? You will need to have a program installed that supports reading or opening those particular file extension types. For example, for a .pdf file extention type, you would need a program like Adobe Reader installed to be able to open and read that file. If you post back the file extensions, we may be able to suggest some good free programs that you can use to open them with.

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn
