WHERE DID THE NAMES GO WHEN SENDING BCC:?

I always use Bcc: when I'm mailing something to a group of people. In Outlook
Express, all I had to do was click on "properties" and "details" to check who
I'd sent it to - a handy feature in case I had missed someone. Windows Mail
doesn't seem to have this feature. Why would they eliminate such a helpful
thing?

They did not eliminate the feature. It works just fine on my Windows Mail.
Did you read the details carefully?
Did you also look at the "Message Source"?

Re: WHERE DID THE NAMES GO WHEN SENDING BCC:?

Yes I did those checks, Richard. And even checked them again just now to make
doubly sure. There is definitely no list of names.
I just thought of something - maybe I didn't click "OK" after putting the
names in Bcc. I wonder.................. going to try it again to see.
Thanks for responding.

Re: WHERE DID THE NAMES GO WHEN SENDING BCC:?

I checked again, made sure I did everything correctly, and the names still
did not show. I am really stumped. I wonder if there is a setting in Windows
Mail that I should change.

Re: WHERE DID THE NAMES GO WHEN SENDING BCC:?

Oh man, blame it on brain fatigue from changing from old computer and XP to
new computer and Vista over the last three weeks. I was checking the "inbox"
instead of the "outbox". DUH! When I checked the "outbox", there was the list
of names!
Now, if we could only get everyone to use Bcc instead of To or Cc the world
would be a better place! LOL

Re: WHERE DID THE NAMES GO WHEN SENDING BCC:?

Actually you must have been checking the "sent items" folder as you should not have any messages in your outbox for longer than a few seconds.
You might blame in on brain fatigue, I get to blame in on a "senior moment", which is the only advantage I found to being over 70.

Re: WHERE DID THE NAMES GO WHEN SENDING BCC:?

Richard, just when I thought I was getting smarter - yes, it was in my "sent"
folder not my outbox. I turned 70 in July so I too shall claim "senior
moment"! LOL
