Re: receiving e mails on both pc and laptop

If both computers are accessing the same POP email account, then one of them
is
probably deleting the messages on the server after downloading them. That's
the default POP method.
If you want to be able to access the same email on both computers,

In Windows Mail
Tools - Accounts - youraccount - Properties - Advanced
[x] Leave a copy of messages on server
[x] Remove from server after [xx] days

You only need to set one computer to remove after [xx] days.

RE: receiving e mails on both pc and laptop

brian, I had the same problem. I went into the tools on the email screen,
clicked accounts, then mail, then properties, then advanced on each computer
and marked save to server which is at the bottom under delivery. Then when I
opened the email on my desktop computer the new email downloaded. But when I
opened the laptop email, the same email downloaded.

I also found that if you want to delete messages when they download onto one
computer and do not want to have to delete the same emails on the other
computer there is a block in the same area that can be checked that says
"remove from server when deleted from 'deleted items'

I hope this helps.

Just did this today and found this chat box for the first time today. What
a coincidence.
