| | Re: How to send e-mail in WORD Although Windows Mail may be designated as your default email, it may not have been assigned all of its protocols. Open the Default Programs applet, which you can access either from the Start menu or via the Control Panel, then click the first item: "Set your default programs." After a few seconds, a list of programs comes up. Click on "Windows Mail". If it doesn't respond with "This program has all its defaults" then fix it by clicking on the option indicated by the first green arrow. -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (Mail) "tpgarden" <guest@xxxxxx-email.com> wrote in message news:9a2241c7cce7e5e50daa38150717ca55@xxxxxx-gateway.com... | Vista Home Premium (64-bit) with SP1 | Re: How to send e-mail in WORD Dear Gary, I did as you suggested and Windows Mail does have the words 'This Program has all its defaults'. I then went to my WORD program and tried again. I get a window the says 'OUTLOOK 2003 STARTUP' and it wants me to enter information to set it up. I don't want to use Outlook as my Default. How do I work around this? |
