Vista - Windows mail will not create, reply, forward etc.

I've searched for months and can't find an answer/fix/patch for this
problem.

I have no messages in my outbox to delete, I downloaded WMUtl to
compact the database and all that jazz.

My problem is that I cannot create, reply, or forward at all. Every
time I try, Windows Mail hazes for a few moments and crashes and
restarts. My error reports and solutions has never provided any kind of
fix or solution. I believe that Microsoft isn't doing anything about
mail problems.

I have no problems receiving mail and if I get an email that requests
confirmation and I grant it, the confirmation email is sent
automatically with no problems. Here's the report info:

You are right. Microsoft has not issued any fixes for Windows Mail
for a long time, and none will be forthcoming in the future. For
all practical purposes it is a dead-end program. Microsoft has
designated Windows Live Mail as the replacement. You are
encouraged to upgrade to the newer Windows Live Mail:

In case your PC is 'allergic' to MS email programs, give
Mozilla Thunderbird a try:

There's never an error message, it just freezes, crashes and restarts.

I have no idea why neither Windows Mail nor Windows Live Mail
will run properly on your computer. Your only choices are trying
a non-MS email program, or doing a 'repair-install' of Vista:

Amazing, Thunderbird works perfectly on a PC when a Microsoft mail
program wont. Microsoft needs to figure it out. Don't 'fix' what's not
broken.

There's nothing, I repeat, NOTHING different or unique about my PC. It
still has it's original configuration. Everything is stock from ACER.
With all the searching I did on this subject it's clear that windows
mail doesn't run 'fine for most users'. Windows mail is one of the
biggest failures of MS.

Thunderbird fixed everything. WM fails.
