| Guest | Port 119 Error - Newsgroups I am attempting to post a reply to a newsgroup with Bellsouth.net. I have contacted Bellsouth Tech Support and my settings are correct. They say that they use port 119 for newsgroup mail and the newsgroup is not accepting from that port. I deleted the Bellsouth newsgroup account and re-installed and re-subcribed to 3 different newsgroups and got the same error 0x800CCCA9 from all three attempts - tried it different times. This is the error message. Help! Windows Mail could not post your message. Subject 'Re: Oxidation problem', Account: 'newsgroups.bellsouth.net', Server: 'newsgroups.bellsouth.net', Protocol: NNTP, Server Response: '441 Posting Failed (Rejected by POST filter)', Port: 119, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 441, Error Number: 0x800CCCA9 -- Marie |
