| | Re: still receiving error msg when sending email You should keep to your original post. Anyway you said you are using MacAfee. Uninstall it and then re-install it without the email scanning option (email integration) Disabling the scanning might not work with MacAfee so that is why the uninstall and then re-install so the email integration(scanning) will be disabled properly. You should really look into getting rid of MacAfee (Norton and Trend)has the same issue's and install something like Avast,Nod32,Karpensky,Avg and all those should not have the email integration set as I posted above -- Peter Please Reply to Newsgroup for the benefit of others Requests for assistance by email can not and will not be acknowledged. You even managed to enter the incorrect server name. It should be smtp.comcast.net ---Tools>accounts>your account>properties>server tab.
