| | Windows Mail I am want to use Windows Mail to manage my Hotmail and Yahoo e mail. I am not able to send or get e mails from Windows Mail. Are Hotmail and Windows Mail the same? I keep getting a message that says something about POP and STM or something like that. Any help would be welcome. |

| | Re: Windows Mail Most free Hotmail accounts and free Yahoo accounts have webmail access only, no POP access. Windows Mail handles POP mail but not webmail. There are two Yahoo solutions: 1. How did you access Yahoo mail before? If you are happy with webmail via your browser, you can continue to use that. 2. Pay Yahoo to get their premium "Mail Plus" service: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mai...iew/index.html and use the special settings for that service: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mai...op/pop-14.html With Hotmail you have an alternate solution: upgrade to Windows Live Mail: http://get.live.com/wlmail/overview -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (Mail) "mjj123" <mjj123@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:B563242E-7715-4936-A75B-614C24753645@xxxxxx Quote: >I am want to use Windows Mail to manage my Hotmail and Yahoo e mail.
