| | Can't get mail outside outside of windows mail All of my e-mail (Comcast, hotmail) started going to Windows Mail on my laptop and I can't get to it from any other computer now. How can I stop this, as I need to take my laptop in for service and need to be able to get to my e-mail from other computers in the mean time? (Vista) Thank you for your help, |

| | Re: Can't get mail outside outside of windows mail I assume the other computers are checking your mail via the web? In order to prevent your Windows Mail computer from removing downloaded messages from the server, do this: Go to Tools, Accounts, select your mail account, Properties, Advanced, enable "Leave a copy of messages on server." Note that Windows Mail is not capable of handling free Hotmail accounts. -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (Mail) "PacificElla" <PacificElla@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:002579E5-53B8-4CA0-AD37-D04F3B8AF6AD@xxxxxx Quote: > All of my e-mail (Comcast, hotmail) started going to Windows Mail on my > laptop and I can't get to it from any other computer now.
