| | I can not send or recieve mail I have been e-mailing all day. All of a sudden I have been getting a error message. The message could not be sent. The authentication setting might not be correct for your outgoing e-mail [SMTP] server. For help solving this problem, go to Help, search for "Troubleshoot Windows Mail", and read the "I'm having problems sending e-mail" section. If you need help determining the proper server settings, please contact your e-mail service provider. |

| | Re: I can not send or recieve mail You omitted the most important part of the error message, which should look something like this: Quote: > The connection to the server has failed. Subject 'test', Account: > 'mail.myisp.net', Server: 'smtp.myisp.net', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, > Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E We can't do much troubleshooting without the complete error message. -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (Mail) "Angie" <Angie@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:0D22A5FA-A11B-4A7D-9403-52AB2FD60EC6@xxxxxx Quote: >I have been e-mailing all day.
