| Guest | Error Sending Email (Vista) I get the following message when I send email. Didn't start happening until my computer automatically updated my Windows Service Vista Pack 2. The message could not be sent. The authentication setting might not be correct for your outgoing e-mail [SMTP] server. For help solving this problem, go to Help, search for "Troubleshoot Windows Mail", and read the "I'm having problems sending e-mail" section. If you need help determining the proper server settings, please contact your e-mail service provider. The rejected e-mail address was 'netzero.net'. Subject '', Account: 'home1014', Server: 'smtp.netzero.net', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '553 Domain name required', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 553, Error Number: 0x800CCC78 |

| Guest | Re: Error Sending Email (Vista) Service Pack 2 isn't out yet. The error states you have an incorrect email address. 'netzero.net' is incomplete, it should be something like fred@xxxxxx -- Vista Home Premium 32 SP1 http://get.live.com/wlmail/overview http://download.live.com/wlmail "Windows Microsoft Outlook (Vista)" <Windows Microsoft Outlook (Vista)@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:3C457FAC-6A9D-4EEE-8F91-BC8A8DB3A715@xxxxxx Quote: > I get the following message when I send email. | Guest | Re: Error Sending Email (Vista) Vista only has SP1. If you installed something called "SP2", it is rogue. The email address to which you were sending "netzero.net" is incomplete. It needs to be something like username@xxxxxx. -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (Mail) "Windows Microsoft Outlook (Vista)" <Windows Microsoft Outlook (Vista)@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:3C457FAC-6A9D-4EEE-8F91-BC8A8DB3A715@xxxxxx Quote: >I get the following message when I send email.
