"Add Sender to Blocked Sender's List" not working

Blocked email and blocked domains don't seem to be working properly. I
continue to received spam emails in the junk folder that I have already
placed on the "Add Sender to Blocked Sender's List" and "Add Domain to
Blocked Sender's List".

If they go to the Junk E-mail folder, that is what they are supposed
to do.

Re: "Add Sender to Blocked Sender's List" not working

Once I block the sender, shouldn't all future emails (from that sender) be
blocked from being received?

Re: "Add Sender to Blocked Sender's List" not working

No. Windows Mail needs to download the message in order to inspect it.
Once it is inspected and judged to be 'Junk' or 'blocked', it is then placed
in the Junk E-mail folder.

Re: "Add Sender to Blocked Sender's List" not working

I am having the same problem that Dee described. It is often (not always) as
if I have never tried to block the sender or domain. The e-mails continue to
land in my inbox. Likewise, unblocking doesn't seem to have any effect on
e-mails I want to receive, but which are going to the junk box.

Re: "Add Sender to Blocked Sender's List" not working

Determining which incoming emails are Junk and which are not isn't an
exact science, so you got to expect some false positives and some
missed spam.

Careful examination of unwanted sender's message might reveal a
slightly different email address than what you have in the Blocked Senders
list. Real spammers seldom use the same From address twice.
