Transfer from Outlook Express 6 to vista and not all mail came through?

Today, we upgraded our computer and used the easy transfer cablesand easy
transfer wizard to transfer all our data from old XP professional computer
to new vista.
Everything seems to have gone OK - BUT - only transferred older folders and
emails. There is nothing past August 2007 that transferred...I can still see
all the mail in my inbox and the recent folders...Why did the rest not come
over and how do I single out these hundreds of emails I need to keep.
Many thanks and Happy Halloween. :-)
