| | Re: setting up an account Who provides your email service? Or to ask that question another way, what is the part of your email address after the @ symbol? Your mail provider will typically have a web page that shows how to set up an email program. If you need more help, tell us the name of your email service provider. -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (Mail) "ferdinand" <ferdinand.brown@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:%236hXkDKPJHA.2312@xxxxxx Quote: > how do i set up this account |

| | Re: setting up an account US-based free Yahoo accounts have webmail access only, no POP access. Windows Mail handles POP mail but not webmail. There are two Yahoo solutions: 1. How did you access Yahoo mail before? If you are happy with webmail via your browser, you can continue to use that. 2. Pay Yahoo to get their premium "Mail Plus" service: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mai...iew/index.html and use the special settings for that service: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mai...op/pop-14.html If you are OK with using a non-Yahoo email address, you have three other solutions: 3. Use the email address assigned to you by your ISP. 4. Get a free Gmail account. 5. Use a free Hotmail/Live.com account with Windows Live Mail. -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (Mail) "g.man33@xxxxxx" <g.man33@xxxxxx@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:1FA317BD-9A42-44B5-B9FC-B818C5EBEEC7@xxxxxx Quote: > "Gary VanderMolen" wrote: > Quote: >> Who provides your email service?
