| | windows mail stopped loading emails I have 2 web based accounts that my Windows Vista Mail has been accessing for months. This week it stopped loading one of my accounts - I can find the emails on the web, but I prefer to have them downloaded. Any ideas on what went wrong? Thanks. |

| | Re: windows mail stopped loading emails Right-click on the down-arrow immediately right of the Send/Receive button, then select that account. Does it go through the motions of contacting the server? Any error message? -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (Mail) "Lynne" <lynne@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:u3mo0ovQJHA.3876@xxxxxx Quote: >I have 2 web based accounts that my Windows Vista Mail has been accessing for months. | | Re: windows mail stopped loading emails Yes, the program contacts the server. In fact, it seems that I have 3 email addresses: ptd.net, gmail.net, and cybertrash.net. I realized today that I am getting ptd and gmail but not cybertrash mail. People use my cybertrash address because I've had it for years, but it is now handled by gmail. So, I can go onto cybertrash @ gmail and see my incoming missing mail there, but it doesn't get downloaded to my windows mail any more (for the past 5 days) like my ptd.net and gmail.net do. Thanks. | | Re: windows mail stopped loading emails I think they went belly-up. Go to http://cybertrash.net and you'll see what I'm talking about. -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (Mail) "Lynne" <lynne@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:Ohqi%23V1QJHA.5092@xxxxxx Quote: > Yes, the program contacts the server. | | Re: windows mail stopped loading emails No, I don't think so because I know the owner and he would have told me - plus if I go to lynne@xxxxxx on gmail I can find all of today's emails that don't get delivered to my windows mail. | | Re: windows mail stopped loading emails Good to hear it seems to be fixed. But I would not be too dependent upon a provider who can't even keep their web server running. -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (Mail) "Lynne" <lynne@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:OvlaOy4QJHA.444@xxxxxx Quote: > So, I added the 3rd email to the pops and all is good.
