| | Re: STMP and POP3 Hi, Krystal. The information for the POP3 (incoming) and SMTP (outgoing) servers must come from your ISP or other mail server. For me, I must put "mail.grandecom.net" in both boxes - but that won't do you any good at all unless you also use Grande Communications. If you mention the name of your ISP, someone here might recognize it and know what you should enter. But the BEST source is to ask your ISP. In other words, the company that you pay every month for your Internet service. RC -- R. C. | | Re: STMP and POP3 Who provides your email service? Or to ask that question another way, what is the part of your email address after the @ symbol? Your mail provider will typically have a web page that shows how to set up an email program. If you need more help, tell us the name of your email service provider. -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (Mail) "Krystal" <Krystal@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:689F01D8-B8D0-4322-966E-216C4FAB2740@xxxxxx Quote: >I am trying to set-up my microsoft mail working. | | Re: STMP and POP3 You could set up a Clearwire.com email address in Windows Mail, but free Yahoo or free MSN accounts won't work. US-based free Yahoo accounts have webmail access only, no POP access. Windows Mail handles POP mail but not webmail. One solution is to pay Yahoo for their their premium "Mail Plus" service: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mai...iew/index.html and use the special settings for that service: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mai...op/pop-14.html Does your MSN account have POP access or only webmail access? You can use that MSN account by upgrading to Windows Live Mail: http://get.live.com/wlmail/overview -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (Mail) "HAN" <HAN@xxxxxx> wrote in message news 8ED0D8D-6A59-4FDC-B284-1905ED100EEA@xxxxxxQuote: > hi, try to set up Window email as well but it keep asking me about pop3 and > stmp i dont know what it is to enter.
