| Vista home premium 32 bit | exporting messages and contacts Having migrated my e-mail from outlook to Windows Mail about a month ago, I now find that the functionality of Windows Mail is far less than Outlook. I have a number of problems concerning accounts, and would like to return to using Outlook. Obviously, the Outlook information is still there on my computer - except for the last months messages. Can anyone tell me how to return the mail data back to a form that can be imported into outlook 2003? David Last edited by dandsgreen; 11-23-2008 at 10:25 AM.. |

| Vista home premium 32 bit | Re: exporting messages and contacts Hi Mohit, That way caused me no problem.... Just use the Import menu in Windows Mail. It's going back that I can't find a way of doing. David |

For contacts you must export them in Outlook as a CSV File and then import that file into WM HTH |

| | Re: Import Oulook 2003 pst into Windows Mail ... Windows Mail cannot import a .pst file unless Outlook is installed on the Vista computer. You can install Outlook, copy the .pst to the Vista computer, open the .pst with Outlook, then you can import into Windows Mail. Or, keep using Outlook, as it's better. -- Vista Home Premium 32 SP1 http://get.live.com/wlmail/overview http://download.live.com/wlmail "Mohit Sarda" <suveksarda@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:B9898FEE-8065-46D4-9D1F-EA7BFC7335A0@xxxxxx Quote: > Hi, > > Having just moved from Outlook 2003 to Windows mail I cannot seem to be > able to get my contacts and pst files migrated/imported into windows mail > from outlook 2003. | | Re: exporting messages and contacts Assuming you have Outlook 2003 installed and setup on the same machine that has Windows Mail, 'File|Export|Messages' from within Windows Mail to move emails and 'File|Import and Export|Import Internet mail and Addresses' from within Outlook 2003 to move contacts; be sure to uncheck the "Import Messages" checkbox.
