Rich text won't work...

Hi,

I've been having this problem for a year, and I keep trying to find an
answer, and I just discovered this site and I hope someone can help me!
I can change the color of the font and that's it.
I cannot change the size or text in any email that I'm composing.
I have rich text turned on, I've tried turning it off and on and I keep
having the same problem.
Has anyone had this happen? It's driving me nuts!!!
Everything is Times New Roman size 12.

Thanks for any suggestions!

A
I have rich text turned on, i've tried turning it off and on and I keep
having the same problem.

Re: Rich text won't work...

Try posting here in HTML.

What size is this text?

Make sure you are composing with no stationery.

Re: Rich text won't work...

What method did you try ?
Open Windows Mail > Tools > Options > Compose > Font Settings > choose size,
style, font and colour > OK > OK.

Re: Rich text won't work...

Have you installed the IE8 beta? It tends to cause that problem.

Re: Rich text won't work...

Posting HTML to newsgroups is generally not recommended, however,
a short test would be OK. When composing, click on Format, and
select "Rich Text (HTML)".

Where exactly did you set it to 9 pt Arial?

1.) " i don't have a format option on here to post in html?
Quote:

Yes, you do. Click " Create Mail ", look to the top, Format is there.

2.) " it's set to arial when i go to windows mail > tools > options >
compose>
Quote:

> font setting "
Just either use the up/down slider to find what you want, or click the one
you see. After you have picked the choices, click OK and OK again.
Open my attachment for illustration.

Re: Rich text won't work...

That setting affects only the font you see while composing a message
in plain text. When a plain text message is sent, it does not contain
any font characteristics. When that plain text message is received, it
will display in whatever font the recipient has set under Tools, Options,
Read, Fonts.
