Changing to widecreen

I have recently bought a new widescreen monitor. I had a square one
previously and now the screen is 4:3 stretched to 16.9, it is all out of
proportion. Can anyone please tell me how to change this without going into
Windows Moviemaker?

Re: Changing to widecreen

'Control Panel|Personalize|Display Settings', adjust the "Resolution" slider
to the setting recommended in the monitor's manual.
