Adding additional accounts

I am new to Vista. I activated windows vista mail with the email my internet
provider carries (cableone). Works perfectly. Now I want to ad my gmail and
yahoo accounts. I read the help and instructions and did EXACLY like it
says...no go.... I get error messages .. The connection to the server has
failed. Account: 'pop.gmail.com', Server: 'pop.gmail.com', Protocol: POP3,
Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

Can someone help?

Thanks in advance!

Free Yahoo accounts will not work in WM.

Remember to enable POP on the gmail site, also note the port numbers that
are required. Port 110 needs to be changed.

For gmail access in Windows Mail, see:

Next time you post, please include the complete error messages from both
accounts?

Please read the instructions from Google regarding configuring gmail.

You have the server port and SSL settings wrong; incoming requires SSL and
port 995, outgoing requires SSL and port 465.

Free yahoo accounts will not work without 3rd party utilities like YPOP.
