Vista - Compact

Running Vista Mail, then close it, a pop ask to compact,
said yes, its get about half way, then tell me that Vista Mail crash,
and restarts Vista Mail.

I have tried, reboot, shutting off Virus Apps, and still,
several time, it will ask me to compact when closing vist mail,
and I say yes... but still crashes, and restarts vista mail.


Anyone?

Go to Start | Search and type msconfig and disable all startup items and
non-MS services and then reboot. Then open Winmail and close it so it
prompts and let it compact then. See if that works. Then you can re-enable
the startup items.

Getting allot of those DEP errors, where it closes down the program,
for Vista Mail.... SO I did install, Windows Live Mail, and it was choking
on 810, 000+ emails,
trying to import... got in this morning and had blue screen, error about
page memory..?

So, have a feeling, something went out of wack, with vista mail, and windows
live mail, windows search indexing,
and DEP... have 4 GB of Ram, but still there something wrong, even know I am
running,
Windows live Mail as of Now... had to shut of completely DEP.

Side note: could not even launch explorer, DEP would shut it down.
So, I going to do a re-install AGAIN. Boy Vista, got issues, let hope
service pack 2 fixes allot,

I read it last week, and told of many issues, with compacting.

So, I had to re-installed the OS, Again.
this time, I switch over to Thunderbird & Lightning Calender,
all 829,000+ emails are working just fine....

Heck, it both vista mail, and windows live mail suffered with this bug,
and some early chat talking about windows 7... please


Anyways... thought I would tell the group.
