Windows Contacts -- buttons disappeared

I have Vista on my laptop, along with Vista's Windows Mail and Windows
Contacts. I switched to try Windows Live equivalents for a while. Now I am
back with the Vista tools, but --

My Contacts software is missing some of the buttons, like the one for
Creating Groups. There are no OPTIONS or CUSTOMIZE choices to make these
things 'appear' again. Any ideas? How can I download or repair my
Contacts?

I had a similar problem
See object "How to create eMail groups " from Serge C. 2009-02-12 23:51
Maybe it could help.

I'm not sure, but I believe we lost these things in SP1. Anyone else know for sure?

Re: Windows Contacts -- buttons disappeared

Too bar, click the Contact button > Right click at the open space of the
Contact window, click " Customize this folder " >click the downward pointing
arrowhead until you see Contact, click it > OK. See screenshot attachment.

Re: Windows Contacts -- buttons disappeared

Sometimes my contact addresses blow in when I start typing them and
sometimes they don't. What's the problem. This is frustrating.

Re: Windows Contacts -- buttons disappeared

The auto-complete in Windows Mail just doesn't work correctly.
It keeps a separate list of the last 29 addresses you've typed in, including
bad ones. This list is kept in the registry (in binary).

This is one of the features that works properly in the newer Windows Live
Mail.
