| | Re: why does it say i have unsent messages in my outbox? you Right-click on your error message, copy, then paste it into a reply here. We can't do much troubleshooting without the complete error message. Also, please enable your spell checker as a courtesy to those attempting to read your posts. -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (Mail) "shaykira" <shaykira@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:C70524DA-C033-419B-AB0B-FC4D4733429C@xxxxxx Quote: > why does my widows keeps showing host tapps srver doesnt work? | | Re: why does it say i have unsent messages in my outbox? you The message could not be sent. The authentication setting might not be correct for your outgoing e-mail [SMTP] server. For help solving this problem, go to Help, search for "Troubleshoot Windows Mail", and read the "I'm having problems sending e-mail" section. If you need help determining the proper server settings, please contact your e-mail service provider. The rejected e-mail address was 'mmchloesnana@xxxxxx'. | | Re: why does it say i have unsent messages in my outbox? you I tested that email address and got a similar error: 550 5.1.1 - Invalid mailbox: mmchloesnana@xxxxxx It looks like that recipient closed their email account. I'm assuming you are able to send to other recipients successfully. -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (Mail) "Rapidracha@xxxxxx" <Rapidracha@xxxxxx@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:C5F7BD75-7952-411B-82C5-0BB730A2A425@xxxxxx Quote: > The message could not be sent. | | Re: why does it say i have unsent messages in my outbox? you Yes, Qwest is a Live partner, and uses the Live.com mail server for addresses in the q.com domain. Your problem is that you failed to enable the mandatory SSL option. Go to Tools, Accounts, select that account, Properties, Advanced, then make sure the SSL option is checked (two places). -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (Mail) "MARIA" <MARIA@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:6143A827-7FA7-4994-A609-1B1E3F04F7F8@xxxxxx Quote: > Sorry! | | Re: why does it say i have unsent messages in my outbox? you Alright. So I ran through those steps. The problem now is it tries to send the message so it says: Connecting.... Securing..... Authorizing.... --Then a window pops up and says: "Logon to pop3.live.com please verify that both the username and password are correct for your mail server" I enter my qwest username and password and hit ENTER But this window keeps opening, prompting me to enter my username and password. Is this a problem I should be asking my email provider? Making sure my username and password are corresponding with them?
