Re: email won't send to same domain - all else works

Hard to say what's happening without an error message.
Are you receiving email on that account?
When you send a message, is a copy placed in the Sent Items
folder? Which antivirus are you running? Some of them are not
fully compatible with Windows Mail.

Re: email won't send to same domain - all else works

Norton security products are among the top three troublemakers
for Windows Mail. Symptoms often don't surface until several months have
gone by, or until an update occurs.
First, be sure to disable its email scanning, for the reason explained here:
http://thundercloud.net/infoave/tuto...ning/index.htm

Several users here have reported that Symantec will give you a free
upgrade to Norton Antivirus 2009, which cures the problem. If interested,
contact Symantec via online chat.

Disabling the Norton program is often insufficient. Do a trial uninstall,
followed by using their debris removal tool:
http://service1.symantec.com/Support...05033108162039

Instead of uninstalling your antivirus, another option is to upgrade to
Windows Live Mail, which is more resistant to the adverse effects of overly
intrusive antivirus products: http://download.live.com/wlmail

Re: email won't send to same domain - all else works

As I stated earlier, a Norton uninstall must be followed up by
using their debris removal tool:

Re: email won't send to same domain - all else works

That's good, but you should have let us know what all you have tried
so far.

Does it appear to be more of a sending problem or receiving problem?

If a copy of the sent message appears in the Sent Items folder,
then Windows Mail has done all it can do as far as sending.

When a message is sent but not received, are you able to access it
via webmail?

Re: email won't send to same domain - all else works

You don't need Ethereal.
In Windows Mail go to Tools, Options, Advanced, Maintenance.
In the Troubleshooting section click the Mail box.
Then every time you do a send/receive it saves all the POP3/SMTP
commands to a log file which can be found in the same place where
the "Store Folder" is (see the button just above that Troubleshooting
section).

Re: email won't send to same domain - all else works

If you want to test the full functionality of your Windows Mail
(in order to rule out everything else but your hosting service),
get a free POP account with Gmail, and set that up per these
instructions:
