Problems sending email

Updated recently to new computer with Vista and also upgraded a bellsouth.net mail account - bellsouth.net now sends you to some kind of att yahoo account. I can receive my bellsouth email through windows mail but when I tried to send I get this error....

The connection to the server has failed. Subject 'test', Account: 'pop.att.yahoo.com', Server: 'smtp.att.yahoo.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): Yes, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

I've tried changing the port numbers as suggested on other threads and some of the other suggestions but still getting the error. Not real tech savy so I must be missing something somewhere...any advice?

Re: Problems sending email

Port 25 is not correct. Be sure to use these settings:
http://helpme.att.net/article.php?item=10707

If you still get an error after correcting your settings, post the
new error message.

Re: Problems sending email

If that link
http://helpme.att.net/article.php?item=10707
comes up broken for you, there is something wrong with your browser.

Basic settings for that account should be:
Incoming (POP3):
Server: pop.att.yahoo.com, port 995, with SSL.
Outgoing (SMTP):
Server: smtp.att.yahoo.com, port 465, with SSL.

This is the third thread you've started on the same issue.
