Attachments in body of email

I am using windows mail version 6 with windows vista. Whenever I send an
attachment, it appears in the email body. How can I revise this so that
attachments must be opened?

That would be dictated by the settings on
the "recipient's" computer.

If you have 'Read all messages in plain
text' checked...you get an attachment.

If it is not checked...you can see the picture
in the body of the message. And...you are
more vulnerable to a virus.

Re: Attachments in body of email

When you say "attachments" do you mean .jpg images?
Most email clients including Windows Mail will display attached photos.
You would have to 'zip' the photo to prevent it from showing automatically.
