| | How do you make Windows Mail the default mail server? When I try to send a picture or file from a folder on my desktop, (from the Send To - Mail Recipient option) Microsoft Outlook comes up as the default mail server. The same thing occurs when I use the 'read mail' link from Internet Explorer. Any suggestions? Michelle |

| | Re: How do you make Windows Mail the default mail server? Michelle Miller, There is a recent update for MS Outlook's Junk filter. To my knowledge, every time Outlook gets updated it becomes the default Mail client. So you will need to make the change back to VistaMail, WinLive Mail, or OE, if you also have MS Outlook installed on your PC. Control Panel> Internet Options> Programs tab> Select VistaMail as the default Mail client. -- Add MS to your News Reader: news://msnews.microsoft.com Rich/rerat (RRR News) <message rule> <<Previous Text Snipped to Save Bandwidth When Appropriate>> "Michelle Miller" <lipshell1@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:OOgEPkvqJHA.5452@xxxxxx When I try to send a picture or file from a folder on my desktop, (from the Send To - Mail Recipient option) Microsoft Outlook comes up as the default mail server. Select Internet Explorer and do the same. Also while in the Default Programs, click on "Set program access and computer defaults." Select Custom, and then select Internet Explorer. Then Windows Mail & Click OK. -- Regards Steve. MS-MVP. MAIL. [DTS] UK. http://www.getsafeonline.org/ |
