| Vista Home Premium 32bit | Contact Groups in Windows Mail I have over 20 different Groups set up in my Address Book. In the good old Outlook Express Address Book, I could open a Contact and in the "Other" tab, I could see a list of all the Groups that the person belongs to. In Windows Mail Contacts. I successfully imported all my Contacts and Groups. But. is there a way to find out which Groups a person belongs to? It's too time consuming to manually search through each of my 20 groups. The Help section claims that Windows Mail has all the features of Outlook Express. but the list of Groups a person belongs to is obviously missing. Please show me that I can display a list of Groups for each person. I rely heavily on Groups. Just for example, if I have multiple entries for the same person (with different email addresses), I can tell which one is the most current by looking at which email address is part of a recently set up Group. |

| | Re: Contact Groups in Windows Mail Actually, there is a way in Windows Live Mail, but not all that straightforward. Open Contacts, right-click on a contact, select "Copy Contact To". It will show a list of groups to which the contact does not yet belong. By implication, the contact is a member of a group not offered in that selection. -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (Mail) "Dave" <Dave@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:OA1VASIsJHA.1304@xxxxxx Quote: > Sorry, but there's no way to see what groups a contact is a member of. > > Nor in the newer Windows Live Mail. > > > -- > Windows 7 beta > http://get.live.com/wlmail/overview > http://download.live.com/wlmail > > > "sleeplessra" <guest@xxxxxx-email.com> wrote in message > news:2046349106ebe243c9fa05d32e48dfae@xxxxxx-gateway.com... My daughter has lots of groups with addresses that aren't in her contacts as separate entries, and she wants to import the groups intact as it is a huge job to recreate them. She is going from XP to Vista. |
