Forgot to tick"Leave a copy of messages on server". Get them back?

When downloading for the first time to Windows Mail I forgot to tick 'Leave a
copy of messages on server".
I want my messages to remain on the server as a backup. How can I upload the
messages from Windows Mail on my hard drive, back to the original email
address on the web?

Help would be welcome! Thanks!

Hello,

After you have checked this option, you could forward the messages to yourself to have them back on the server.

Hope this helps,
Shawn

You can't, unless your mail service provider also offers IMAP accounts.

Its better to backup locally and then you have a copy if your hard drive
fails or the server crashes. See www.oehelp.com/backup.aspx

Re: Forgot to tick"Leave a copy of messages on server". Get them b

No, Hotmail doesn't have IMAP, but its server-based HTTP protocol
has pretty much the same features as IMAP.

Questions pertaining to Windows Live Mail should be posted in its own
newsgroup:
http://www.microsoft.com/communities...e.mail.desktop
or via your news reader: news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsof...e.mail.desktop
