Vista - links in emails

links in emails

am using windows mail with Vista home premium. When there is an embedded link
in an email I cannot open it. It gives an error message of application not
found . Does anyone have a resolution please

Control Panel | Default Programs | Associate a protocol with a program and
then page down to the Mailto protocol and set WinMail as the default.

I'm assuming the embedded link you mentioned is a URL link as opposed
to a MailTo link. If so, open the Default Programs applet, which you can
access either from the Start menu or via the Control Panel, then click the
first item: "Set your default programs."
After a few seconds, a list of programs comes up. Click on "Internet
Explorer". If it doesn't respond with "This program has all its defaults"
then fix it by clicking on the option indicated by the first green arrow.
