Re: Login Password

Login password for what? Windows Mail itself does not have a password,
but for each mail account you set up in Windows Mail you will need to enter
a username and password in order to access the mail server for that account.

Re: Login Password

Windows Mail doesn't have a password option for the program.
Security is obtained with your Vista login account password.
If other people use your computer, create their own user account & password
to use. That way, they can't get to your files.

Re: Login Password

Dave. You are wrong. Windows mail accesses an email account and this does require a password.
Sophia. You will find the space for a password in the "Accounts Settings" found under the Tools menu.

Re: Login Password

It's a fine point of distinction, but Windows Mail itself does not need a
password. You could use it only for the Microsoft Communities news server
(as I do) and never have to input a password. It is true that if you want
your Windows Mail to access a mail server, the mail server will require a
password.

Re: Login Password

Perhaps you're responding to the Dave who said nothing....

I stand by my statement...
"Windows Mail doesn't have a password option for the program."

Of course you have to provide the password to access your email account.
