Vista - paste text into vista windows mail kills windows mail

As of today, unable to copy any text, even one word, from wordperfect to Windows Mail. As soon as paste is attempted, Mail fails. This is a new problem. Can still paste from word pad. I have always used wordperfect to compose, then paste into Windows mail since Vista was introduced. Until today, no problem. Restarts do not fix problem.

system restore to a time when the problem was not occuring?

Follow up: At least one of the 8 MS Vista updates of Feb. 15 were the cause. When I backed out of those updates I regained the ability to paste into Vista Mail from WordPerfect. I then ran for several days OK without restoring the MS updates. Immediately upon restoring the Feb 15 Vista updates I again lost the ability to paste even a single word from WordPerfect into Vista Mail. Upon restoring prior to the updates again, I was able to again paste from WordPerfect into Vista Mail. I may or may not bother to try installing the 8 updates one at a time to isolate which is the causing the problem. My WordPerfect is X3.
