| | Re: error code 0x800CCC90 and 0x800CCC18 and unable to receve mail Disable email scanning by your anti-virus application. It provides no additional protection and even Symantec says it's not necessary: <QP> Disabling Email Scanning does not leave you unprotected against viruses that are distributed as email attachments. Norton AntiVirus Auto-Protect scans incoming files as they are saved to your hard drive, including email and email attachments. Email Scanning is just another layer on top of this. To make sure that Auto-Protect is providing the maximum protection, keep Auto-Protect enabled and run LiveUpdate regularly to ensure that you have the most recent virus definitions. </QP> http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT...02111812533106 Why you don't need your anti-virus to scan your email http://thundercloud.net/infoave/tuto...ning/index.htm shantisue wrote: Quote: > unable to receive mail and have tried loggin into tools/accounts , my > address and user name and password i reset but does not fix problem, > should i have ticked a box or somthing -can anyone help me please? this is > drivng me mad |

| | Re: error code 0x800CCC90 and 0x800CCC18 and unable to receve mail Right-click on your error message, copy, then paste it into a reply here. We can't do much troubleshooting without the complete error message. Which antivirus are you running? Some of them cause problems with Windows Mail over time. -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (Mail) "shantisue" <shantisue@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:880E8246-9766-4AB8-91E3-D61EDF023C32@xxxxxx Quote: > unable to receive mail and have tried loggin into tools/accounts , my address > and user name and password i reset but does not fix problem, should i have > ticked a box or somthing -can anyone help me please? this is drivng me mad |
