Re: error 11001 0x800cccod

We can't do much with just the error number.
Right-click on your error message, copy, then paste the whole thing
into a reply here.

RE: error 11001 0x800cccod

I get the same thing but with talktalk....The host 'mail.talktalk.net' could
not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly.
Account: 'acc2mail.talktalk.net', Server: 'mail.talktalk.net', Protocol:
POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11001, Error Number:
0x800CCC0D
Can you advise please.

Re: error 11001 0x800cccod

The server mail.talktalk.net certainly does exist. If your Windows Mail
can't find it, either your Internet connection is bad or its DNS lookup is
failing. Are you able to browse to websites including
http://www.talktalk.co.uk/help/questions/TEC_01_14 ?

Re: error 11001 0x800cccod

Herby, please don't hijack someone else's thread, especially when your
error message is different.
You should contact Southern Vermont College for the correct mail settings.
It is not likely their mail server uses SSL on port 587, so as a first guess
I would disable SSL: Go to Tools, Accounts, select that account, Properties,
Advanced, then uncheck the SSL option.

We do not provide support via email.
