| | Re: winhelponline fix did't work to open powerpoint attachments You are almost there. Scroll down till you see PowerPointViewer.SlideShow. 11, look to the immediate left. There is an arrow at the front, click that and it will open up. Now do your rename etc. Repeat same steps for 12. PS. NOT powerpoint 11 or 12, it has to be ** PowerpointViewer.SlideShow.11 ** t-4-2 "tryingtolearrn" <tryingtolearrn@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:411C3B6E-D750-462B-A784-82181530E885@xxxxxx Quote: > When I get to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT everything is coded like this: .ppt and so > forth. | | Re: winhelponline fix did't work to open powerpoint attachments Thanks t-4-2. I tried that but it won't let me rename. When I right click ..pps it IS PPV Slideshow.11 but I get these options: expand, new, find, delete, rename, export, permissions, copy key name. I clicked on rename & nothing happens. Tried l. click, r. click, dbl. r. click--nothing. Tried the option- New & it gives me options: key, string value, binary value, D word (32 bit) Value, Q word (64 bit) value, Multistring value, expandable string value. Any suggestions? -- Computer newbie. Please use SIMPLE explanations. Thank you. "t-4-2" wrote: Quote: > You are almost there.
