| | Can't send or receive emails I've tried troubleshooting and all kinds of things, but can't get my Windows Mail to send or receive. This problem happened all of a sudden, and I wonder if it has something to do with AT&T connecting up with Yahoo. ??? This is the error message that I'm now receiving: Account: 'mail.bellsouth.net', Server: 'mail.bellsouth.net', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR authorization not enabled', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC18 Please help. Thanks. |

| | RE: Can't send or receive emails I'm having the same problem with the same message - started happening yesterday. Email kept asking for my user name and password - which I typed in but It seems to be refusing to accept! - grrrrrr "lmscott" wrote: Quote: > I've tried troubleshooting and all kinds of things, but can't get my Windows > Mail to send or receive. | | RE: Can't send or receive emails BTW My ISP is Orange (ex Wanadoo/Freeserve) but it appears from previous posts that it is a problem on other ISPs too. | | Re: Can't send or receive emails AT&T has been migrating Bellsouth users to the AT&T/Yahoo mail servers. Perhaps that is why the Bellsouth server is no longer working for you. Try setting up a new account in Windows Mail using these instructions: http://support.att.net/bellsouth/asp...2D121587e364c2 -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (Mail) "lmscott" <lmscott@xxxxxx> wrote in message news F5D0733-AC7E-4A6A-A33E-760411983058@xxxxxxQuote: > I've tried troubleshooting and all kinds of things, but can't get my Windows > Mail to send or receive. | | Re: Can't send or receive emails If your ISP is different, then your error message can't be the same. Right-click on your error message, copy, then paste it into a reply here. We can't do much troubleshooting without the complete error message. -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (Mail) "Cathij0269" <Cathij0269@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:AF7A1AA3-C639-4E83-8CBF-55CB43AB7B1B@xxxxxx Quote: > BTW My ISP is Orange (ex Wanadoo/Freeserve) but it appears from previous > posts that it is a problem on other ISPs too. > > "Cathij0269" wrote: > Quote: >> I'm having the same problem with the same message - started happening >> yesterday.
