Vista - Deleting Contacts NOT in Contact List

Even though I have deleted a contact from contact list, it keeps showing up
(Windows Mail) in auto-completion of addressee. How do I get rid of it
totally?

Windows Mail maintains an auto-complete cache of the last 29 addresses you
sent email to.

You can delete the entire auto-complete list:

in, not from your contacts. This list is stored in the registry.

If you wish to remove old or incorrect addresses, there is a utility to
clear recently used email addresses in Windows Mail...

To retrieve addresses from your contacts folder, click on the To: button.

This is one of the features that works properly in the newer Windows Live
Mail.
