| | Re: My windows e-mail account will not send outgoing Why are you using that legacy server which has been deprecated for several years already? The older servers know nothing about modern things like the SSL option you are using. Either turn SSL off: Go to Tools, Accounts, select that account, Properties, Advanced, then uncheck the SSL option. Or else use the newer mail servers: http://helpme.att.net/article.php?item=10707 -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (Mail) "Ricsafrustratedguy" <Ricsafrustratedguy@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:6D2E31AE-AB8D-40D2-B7C2-196579295EEA@xxxxxx Quote: > After much time on phone with my att rep they say it is my mail everything is > good on their end....Help.I haven't been able to use this for 3 weeks now. > Error message Server 'smtpauth.sbcglobal.net' Protocol:SMTP,Server > response"250 HELP',port 25,Secure (SSL): YES,Server Error:250,Error > Number:0x800CCC7D > I can receive, but nothing will leave I would really appreciate somebody's > help with this before I toss this into the pool which is just a throw out > this window! > Thanks > Ricsafrustratedguy |

| | Re: My windows e-mail account will not send outgoing You don't use Windows Mail to send webmail (you use a web browser, like Internet Explorer). To set up windows Mail to access POP3........ http://helpme.att.net/article.php?it...action=Refresh Note that you need to use authentication and ports 465 & 995. -- Windows 7 RC http://get.live.com/wlmail/overview http://download.live.com/wlmail "Bubbahubb" <Bubbahubb@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:ED908D79-D4F9-41C3-BBA3-4E1D1FC56B0E@xxxxxx Quote: > I have had this problem from day one!!!
