Re: Here's An Odd One

Does the WMUtil screen come up and look like the one on
the download page?

Were any of the buttons in WMUtil grayed out?
If so, did you go into Task Manager and verify that no
processes named WinMail.exe were running? You may have
to click on "Show processes from all users."

I had the same issue and downloaded this. It cleared my Outbox instantly.

RE: Here's An Odd One

As we all are dealing with this ghost email issue, I was wondering if anyone
knew of a different email service that one could switch to without changeing
the email address?

RE: Here's An Odd One

I am having the same problems as you and cannot seem to fix it as well. This
message is staying stuck in my inbox and I am not able to read it or delete
or move it. This message will not go away.

Re: Here's An Odd One

Use the Microsoft fix:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/941090
"Messages may be stuck in the Outbox when you use Windows Mail on a
computer that is running Windows Vista"

Although Outbox is the only folder mentioned, it will remove stuck
messages from all folders.

RE: Here's An Odd One

LD -
I am having the exact same problem and can't send email. I can receive it
but cannot reply. It's very frusterating! Please post if you find a way to
fix this problem. I had this same problem back a few months ago and spend
HOURS on the phone with Microsoft trying to resolve it. Finally it got fixed
but I do not have the time to spend, nor the patience, to go thru that again.
Thanks,
Ashley

Re: Here's An Odd One

If you want help, you will need to describe the details of the problem,
and include a copy of the error message.
