Photo Editing

On my old Win 2000 computer, I had an application which I'm pretty sure was
part of the Win2000 OS, which I could use to edit pictures, most importantly
I was able to compress the file size. As I remember there were 3 options for
reduction which would reduce a typical 3Meg photo to: 1) 200Kbits, 2)
50Kbits, or 3) 10-20 kbits.

On my Vista OS, I can't find a program that has resolution / file size
reduction as one of the editing options.

Is there a program on Vista OS that I can use to reduce file size
(resolution)? If not, how can I email multiple photos w/ each photo being a
3Meg file?

Regards and thanks,
Brent

Have a look at the "Sharing pictures by
e-mail" section of the following article:

Windows Vista:

or...

Also...in Windows Live Photo Gallery...you
can select one or more photos and go to...
File / Resize...choose a size and a save
location...click...Resize and Save.

I can't remeber this :-(
And I have no idea on what you are after.

When sending pictures from The Photo Gallery you'll have the choice to
reduce the size.

An alternative would be to produce copies with a reduced size prior to
attaching the pictures to a mail.
A fine tool for this and 1000 other things with graphical stuff is
IrfanView, a most verstaile freeware tool which IMO should not be missing on
any computer anyway.
