| | Windows Mail & Gmail IMAP Hello everyone! I recently configured Windows Mail to use Gmail's IMAP feature. I like very much, but I have a question. When I send an email, a copy of the email that I sent is stored in the Sent Items in my local folders and on the Gmail server. Is there a way to prevent my sent emails from being stored on the local folders? Thank you. ~Russ |

| | Re: Windows Mail & Gmail IMAP Not sure which particular fix you attempted, but have you done this: Tools, Options, Send, uncheck the first box ("Save a copy of sent..."). If that did not help, right-click on the Sent Items folder under the Gmail folder (in Windows Mail), select Synchronization Settings, Don't Synchronize. -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (Mail) "Russ" <munruss@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:O$B9rUv7JHA.1424@xxxxxx Quote: >I tried it, but my sent items are still being stored I my local folders. > > "Russ" <munruss@xxxxxx> wrote in message > news:Oi0FUDv7JHA.1196@xxxxxx Quote: >>I will check it out. | | Re: Windows Mail & Gmail IMAP One more question. When I delete a message using Gmail's IMAP in Windows Mail, is there a way for that message to go into the "Trash" folder rather that the "Deleted Items" folder? If so, then I will have Windows Mail exactly how I want it. Thank you "Russ" <munruss@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:%23PleA$37JHA.4116@xxxxxx Quote: > Thank you very much.
